I'm David Parsons, a multifaceted creative with over a 15 years experience in entertainment, events, and marketing management. My career has taken me from global stages to local community initiatives, blending performance, production, and strategic communications into a dynamic portfolio.
As a keyboardist with The Australian Pink Floyd Show, I’ve performed more than 130 shows annually to audiences exceeding 250,000 worldwide, including sold-out nights at iconic venues such as London’s Royal Albert Hall and Glasgow’s OVO Hydro. Beyond performance, I specialise in sound design and audio production, recreating authentic analogue synthesizer tones and crafting immersive sonic landscapes. Alongside this, I bring extensive experience in hosting and entertainment management, from curating live programming and leading venue entertainment teams to engaging audiences as a compere, DJ, and presenter across diverse platforms.
My creative expertise extends far beyond the stage. I have produced original music for short films, combining composition and audio engineering to enhance storytelling through sound.
As Email Marketing Manager at TMC Property, I led international campaigns across Dubai, the USA, and the UK, blending persuasive copywriting with tailored design to engage diverse investor audiences. At Deaf Connections, I delivered inclusive events and produced accessible digital content for clients including the Scottish Government and NHS Scotland, ensuring communication reached and resonated with all communities.
I’ve also held leadership roles in hospitality, publishing, and cruise entertainment, where I managed teams, built brands, and curated experiences that brought people together. Whether overseeing 100+ publications annually, programming entertainment for 2000 passengers at sea, or driving growth across a portfolio of venues, I thrive on balancing creativity with organisation and impact.
At the heart of my work is a passion for connection-creating experiences that inspire, engage, and leave lasting impressions. Whether on stage, behind the scenes, or at the strategy table, I am committed to delivering excellence and innovation in every endeavour.

Hobbies & Interests
-
Music
I have a passion for music production and performance. Having produced music for promo videos and soundtracks for short films (winning the 'best sound design' award at the Indie Eye Film awards in 2021). I continue to look for ways to incorporate my love for music into my life.
I have performed as a musician for several years, and most recently performed a number of shows with The Australian Pink Floyd Show on their North American tour. I am also manager, promoter and performer in a local Scottish Pink Floyd tribute.

Travel & Adventure
My travels have taken me to countries including USA, Canada, Australia, Fiji, New Zealand, Vanuatu, France, Germany and Austria to name a few!
My most notable adventures to date include flying lessons, scuba diving, thrill-seeking helicopter rides and zip lining.
I still have travels and adventures to be ticked off the list including sky diving (when I eventually feel brave enough), visiting Pompeii and seeing the northern lights from Iceland (the country not from the freezer shop in amongst the chicken nuggets!).

From entertainment manager, DJ, host and compere in Scotland, to Assistant Cruise Director with P&O Australia, I have a lot of experience and confidence engaging with an audience.
From presenting shows, performing acts, and hosting games to giving safety demonstrations to audiences of 800+ in Sydney, Australia (and around the world), I would be confident in any role that might require public addresses or presentations.
